Hi, did anyone notice if the 4 rope breaks were correlated to any certain glider(s)?

Maybe noted on the Flight sheet, I did not look.We had 6 of 7 club aircraft flying, plus CAP 2-33. (1-34 stayed home), very busy activity!   As mentioned the ropes are EOL, but as mentioned many times by FC & our cfig’s, we pilots must always look for fraying spots. I realize I should have.

I would hope to come help – or fly!  , on Thurs 7-28, but both knees are not working well, so I may be limited to golf-cart work.

Thanks Laurentiu…..possibly both 39E and 82H have similar reasons. Much repair work was done in winter on 82H canopy by many members. DB

On this Tues ‘s great day, did any of our 1-26 (82H) pilots notice if the wind noise was extreme?  When I flew 82H on Sat 6-18 afternoon, it was really loud inside.  The donated 1-26 is supposed to also have windnoise issue.

This would be a great “hanger topic” out at field, given by one ( or together with) another of the Regulars who hang out in the 55LL sky for 3, 4, 5 hours at a time. Think of all the knowledge share!  (AKA: tips n’ tricks)

I would like to ask if I can get season Spring checkout, started with Steve or Don or Tim or Gary or Mark or Geoff.  Appears that Don is already busy, towing Sat.

In prep,…..and for sheer fun, the GS should watch Alexander Lippisch, aero-dynamicist, 1955’s tapes ( YouTube link below) using smoke tunnel. Some chapters are just great.

Is the “Condor club” a specific setup for the SSI members to join in at?

Or was this something that exists outside SSI anyway, …..& used by anyone with a Condor2 installation?
