Andy, better to ask John Baker and John DeRosa,  on this question.

I am not compliant on Apple products, nor MAC/ ipad/ iphone hardware. My mobile is android-based.

I was an ibm-PC, UNIX on Sun, user in my learning years at work environment, a century ago…later forced into the Windows 3.x, NT, ME, 7,8,9,10 maelstrom.

Hi Don, did you get answer for Mobile Port and NVR user ID , to use on John Baker’s iPhone mobile app (vMeye)?

If not, there is a 2011 document (powerpoint PPT doc) on webcam and  connections, by John DeRosa.

In it, he states some numbers for those parameters of the Zmodo system, viewable in the “Setup” tab of Zmodo webpage.

They may be still good, but in the presentation,  the IP address for the NVR is NOT “64.135.213.7”,…it is some other address “192.xxx.xxx.xxx”. used way back then

So that PPT presentation  is old, but it is available from SSI “Files/docs” folder.

Tim learned that fine art, while craming at U of I for those organic Chem
    exams..!
As an EE, was also guilty of similar down there, way back when.

Thank you, Don, good clarification that radio-comm must be used. Club glider radios and/or club handhelds would need to be unlocked from 123.3, if venturing off !

Ok, ….on weed trimmer, the battery powered unit was checked on Tues 6-4, the spool cord was all messed, so it was realigned & feeds ok. The battery & charger seem fine.

The gas trimmer looks in worse shape…..spool is all unwound and  lines pulled out. I ran out of time to inspect/fix & run engine.

Thanks Petr, for update & explanation of legacy ballast ( older mag type) removal, during the LED upgrade……so definitely don’t have that condition.

The ferrite sleeve chokes you ordered should do the job of suppression of unwanted RF junk radiated.

Rich, as Don has mentioned, the Avant browser will connect with the
existing Zmodo NVR ( network video recorder) that controls the existing
    4-camera Zmodo system.
As mentioned, any camera-over-internet requires a wireless system that
allows an Uplink ( camera-to-Internet service provider) of many Megabits
per second. That issue is being resolved with the newer wireless ISP
service that SSI has worked out with Fox Valley Wireless.

PS: Any new “wifi” cameras are even more brutal on bandwidth required to
support >30 frames per second, so be careful.
PSS: John Baker has found a Smartphone app that connects with the Zmodo NVR
    cams…..check with him.

John and John, the RFI is known to be a problem with the tyoe of power supply current source method ( switcher?) for LEDs…..its prob not the LEDs, as they run on DC.

As Petr briefed some of us, the LED strips he got do not need any legacy “ballast”, & I’m not sure if the old ballasts were removed. The web forums out there discuss RFI for the scenario in detail. AM systems (AV radios) more affected than legacy FM systems ( police/fire/EMT).
