Dennis BurkeParticipant
FYI for Frank. There are 2 pdf documents in the SSI folder, “Flight &Ground Ops”, on proper tiedown procedure, and how to tie proper knots.
This is in case nobody mentioned it to the newest members, a good review
Dennis BurkeParticipantWe should also mention that there was a fair amount of physical
labor/repairs by club members on Sat. The 1-26 got needed attention by
Gary, some mowing done , and the Lark’s 5 tiedowns were totally dismantled
by 4 gents, and reconfigured a few feet to the South, including a new Main
wheel pad (replaced!) and moved tailwheel pad. Luckily, the electric auger
was working.Dennis BurkeParticipanti think Don wins Johns question….someone had fun with Photoshop and put
the trailers in the foreground of Route 20 and the SW windsock
DennyDennis BurkeParticipanton CC flying, as Karl said, good fun. Your chance to pressure next years
Flight Chair to advocate CC tips & techniques for all!Dennis BurkeParticipantAre Erik and Petr still going for their orals / checkrides today?
Dennis BurkeParticipantHey Logan, was there a good reason why your Williams Soaring wants their
gliders off on a 45 at the start?
Was it for Xwind correction?Dennis BurkeParticipantCongratulations Tim, on your upcoming career……all that UofI organic
Chem sweat now to pay off ( real dollars!)Dennis BurkeParticipantAt end of Thurs Ops, can one of you gents give me a remaining Fuel Tank gal amount?
You can text me at: 1-847-636-9007
The new fuel service vendor is almost approving SSI, & we don’t want to go less than 150gal remaining.
Appreciated, DB
Dennis BurkeParticipantReally sorry I could not make it today, Tim
Dennis BurkeParticipantGuys, during today’s 22:30 debrief at picnic table, I think we forgot to get the Lark tail secured correctly, with rudder/aileron locks added along with tail-tie hardware that Tim said he put the storage bin of the next-over glider….
Dennis BurkeParticipantWill be there ASAP…..denny
Dennis BurkeParticipantThat was a fun-to-read update! Our ATP members have flown some of the
biggest airplanes out there…..truely flying the “truck” category, hence
that semi-new Piper must be no surprise for them !On Sat, Sep 14, 2019, 8:17 PM Sky Soaring
