Steven SnyderParticipantHave not had much to report lately thanks to this crazy weather. This weekend was not much different but there were 6 flights in spite of the wind. At one point we had our vintage Schweizer collection up together. 1-26C, 1-34R and 1-35 were all represented.
Sunday there was no flying but a good turnout of around 20 enjoyed great food and tall tales of exaggerated accomplishments. Staff photographer Petr has shared some highlights on our Facebook page.
This week it appears that Thursday and Friday should be good or very good for soaring.
Steven SnyderParticipantLooks like it’s too windy to fly so food will start around noon.

Steven SnyderParticipantWe did fly today. 10 flights to be exact. John L lead the way at over 3.5 hrs. I managed to squeeze in 1.5 hrs in the 1-34. Several guys reported lift up to 6k. Thanks to Mark and John S for towing.
Also much mowing was dealt with. A good day all around.

PS next day looks like Friday or Saturday.

Subject: Reply To: Saturday and Sunday; By Steven Snyder, [Sky Soaring]Steven SnyderParticipantSunday was another really nice day. 21 flights total, 10 in the CAP glider. Petr was last seen at 3:35 and was nowhere to be found when must of us left at 5:00. He may still be circling out there somewhere. 3 other flights were at least 1 hour. don took 39E up for it’s first flight today. He suggest wearing hearing protection until we locate the source of the high volume.
Thanks to Mark, John S and Gary for towing today.
Hope to see you all tomorrow.
