    Hello:

    Today had 11 flights.  Most flights were 13 to 30 minutes or so.  Don Grillo managed a 1:13 flight in the 1-26!  I have no idea about John Lincoln’s flight since I left before he landed but he definitely stayed aloft for a long, long time.  Brynn and Mike Palmer had some student flights while John Scott, Kees, John Lincoln, Dennis Burke, Don Grillo and John Osborn did their flights.  Gregg and I took up Pumpkin for a short flight before we put everything away for the afternoon.  It is nice to have Pumpkin back but Stars and Stripes also wants to fly! (Also both 1-26’s, Krosno and PW5.)

    The weather:

    Saturday:  Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Light south wind becoming south southwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

    Sunday:  (Not so great)<b> </b>A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. South wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

    And, for Jonathan’s question, just call the field at (847) 683-7627 to see if anyone is flying or to just chat about what is going on.

    See you tomorrow!

    Regards,

    Rich

    Hello:Let us (the club membership) know when assembly help is required. Also, I have my own aviation portable radio so not having a built in radio in Pumpkin is a good excuse for me to have that radio. Thanks in advance for all the extra stuff you do for the club. Regards,Rich

    Hello:

    I was able to log in again.  I see no emails ref. activity for Sunday.  Also, no one used Book Our Plane to reserve anything.  Are there plans for Sunday and Memorial Day?  Also, I did see some more mowing yesterday and forgot to thank the mowers for their work.

    Regards,

    Rich

    Hello:

    Kind of hijacking the thread but today we had 9 flights and followed the policies.  There were mostly student and check out flights with 1 additional FAST flight.  Thanks to Gary for towing, John S. & Mike V. for CFI work and Art for tackling the GSO job and Mark & Andy for ground support with the golf carts.  I was able to keep Stars and Stripes up in some modest lift for a half hour around 3:30 pm.  A little gusty with wind right down the runway.  We used 9 for take off and landing.

    The forecast:
    <div class=”row row-even row-forecast”>
    <div class=”col-sm-2 forecast-label”><b>Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

    Memorial Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. East wind 5 to 10 mph.</b></div>
    </div>
    <div class=”col-sm-10 forecast-text”>Thanks to everyone who make a nice day possible at Sky Soaring.</div>
    <div>Regards,</div>
