Steven SnyderParticipant
2:30 and we’re closing up.
Steven Snyder224-628-2871Steven SnyderParticipantYes, there are2 tow pilots and 3 instructors. The phone is inop. Leave a message.
Steven Snyder224-628-2871Steven SnyderParticipantAnother good day. Jimbob was checked out to tow. Don was in the Krozno with Andy for an hour. John Scott flew the 1-34 since he came out to tow and had time to spare. Hey, 3 towpilots in one day. Nick was working on checkride prep for 45 min and I flew off to explore for 1 hr 30 min.
6 flights total with lift over 6k.
Steven SnyderParticipantWednesday should be close if not quite as good so come on out. Tow pilots are ready and waiting.
Steven SnyderParticipantDid someone forecast good soaring? Must have been Petr! A BIG shout out for completing his Silver Duration with 5 hours and 12 mins. Also Silver Altitude gain of over 1k meters, 3,281 feet. Still waiting for confirmation on the distance. Oh, and John L was over 5 hr 20mins. Nick is a step closer to his checkride with 3 flights today. And Andy brought smoked walleye from Wisconsin after his 4 week vacation. Thanks to Geoff and Don for towing.
Steven SnyderParticipantTuesday is going well. Wednesday also looks good. Sign up now.
Steven Snyder224-628-2871Steven SnyderParticipantExcellent and thank you.
Steven Snyder224-628-2871Steven SnyderParticipantStill looking for a tow pilot for Tuesday so Don can fly his glider. John Scott is not available. Anyone else?
Steven SnyderParticipantOne more time. Tuesday flights start at 10. Sign up now if you are in town.
Steven Snyder224-628-2871Steven SnyderParticipantWeâre going to look for one with MPH. Perhaps we can try yours as a test.

Steven SnyderParticipantThere will be a tow pilot on Monday starting at 1100hrs.
Â
John Lincoln says it will be a good day. I tend to agree.
Â
Sunday was a good day for the few that came out. Petr was gone over 2.5 hours and young Paul took us to Union and back at 6k for almost 1.5hrs.
Â
The grass (hay) was mowed under the open trailers. Thanks Don for towing.

Well, today was a good day. Maybe not as good as forecast but a good all around. Most, but not all of the grass is mowed. Work needs to be done around the tiedowns. The following were present and accounted for. Lincoln, Slocum, Legenza (plus Pete as always helpful), Hurd, Nicolae, John Scott always willing to tow, and myself. Times varied from 9 mins to 3:47 (never guess who that was). 4 additional were over 1 hour with Nick just scratching the 2 hour mark in the 1-26. Altogether 9 flights. Special mention to JimBob for attempting to fly his 1-26 back to Poplar Grove. Alas, it was not to be. Stay tuned for more. As a result we had a Schweizer reunion gaggle at one point with 2 1-26s and the 1-34. Video to follow. We were also joined by the Ventus and a 737 at one point.
