Friday, breezy with strong lift. Made it up to 5k with a possible new member. The rest were training flights. Special guest Alan K made a visit.
Saturday too windy but there is work to be done.
Sunday looks good for flying.

Thursday was a beautiful day. 15 flights (16 counting B2). Palmer over 3 hours and several longer flights as well.
Friday plans start 10am. Come on out!
Thursday is looking real good. Strong lift to 6k + with the winds much more under control.

Subject: [Sky Soaring] New topic: General Discussion, Weekday operationsA beautiful day at 55LL. 9 flights total, 5 longer than 1hr. (Well, mine was 59min but close enough). Nick was checked out in the PW-5 and his 2nd flight was 1hr 52min. Don and John S towed. We had a fly-by from Jimbob’s beautiful wife and beautifully restored Waco biplane and a guest visit from Was (Steve W). More charcoal was torched for the purpose of consuming brats and burgers. All in all, a great holiday weekend.

A very fine day at 55LL today. Only 5 flights as the winds were exceeding limits shortly after 12:00 however we did have 2 prospective members visit and Don, John L and John S all took off for points unknown. There was so much good food we will have leftovers for weeks.

Now, on to Sunday. If you intend to fly get out early. TAF for RFD is until 1500Z winds 290@6, ceilings 12,000. From 1500Z to 1800Z winds 290@10G18 clouds few at 8,000. SkySight is predicting lift at 3.6kts to 4.8kts topping at 8875 @ 1530 CDT. Winds aloft 20 to 25kts.

Saturday was indeed a good training day and a few members took advantage of it. 14 flights total with new member Animesh leading the way, Mike Vaughn returning after 11 months off and regaining currency, Rich continuing working on his add on rating and Art giving Scenic rides to a family of 3. Due to low clouds the tows were limited to 2500MSL so the riders were each given 2 each. In the meantime the Barn was completed and the winch is now residing inside, a crew began work on the 1-34 repairs and the hanger was swept out.
