    Hello:

No need to thank me. We have tow pilots, mechanics, CFIs, grounds keepers, helpers, electricians, etc. all do their part. My part has been to assist on the medical training and equipment side. Everyone has a role in the club. Sometimes it takes time to find a useful place but everyone contributes. My thanks to all who are assisting at Sky Soaring.
    Regards,

    Rich

    Hello:

Today I upgraded the first aid kit in the PW5.  It now has proper bandage pads, gauze, and other useful items.  Please let me know if any other first aid kits need anything.  This also applies to privately owned aircraft on the field.  We can train with “Stop the Bleed”, First Aid and CPR/AED to create the best chance of mitigating any problems in case of a medical emergency.  I offer FREE training and first aid supplies.  Take advantage of it.

    Regards,

    Rich

    Hello:

I helped Paul with his glider a few times and wing ran for him.  He always was good for a small nice conversation.  I did not get to know him like others did, but from my interactions with him I could tell he was 100 percent a class act and good pilot.  May he have good flights in heaven.

    Regards,

    Rich

    Hello:

Today was a good training day for glider flying.  I found some lift and stayed up for 38 minutes.  I know its just a mere warm up for some but for me it was a nice flight.  We also had 6 members who completed the Stop the Bleed course.  Thanks to Steve Snyder, Kees Van de Klippe, Greg Tomczyk, Mark Reich, James Hopkins and John Osborn for attending.  I can hold another class next Saturday if there is interest in one.

As Steve stated, the weather looks horrible for the next 2 days.  The long term forecast shows a nice Saturday and Sunday…

    Regards,

    Rich

    Hello:

I will be out in the morning, too.  Sunday forecast is horrible so Saturday is the best day of the weekend.

    Hello:

Thank you tow pilots, instructors, pilots, and members for showing up at the field today.  I noticed that we had another cross wind at the field.  I flew. And I was happy that I flew and did not avoid the cross winds.  For the past 3 weekends we had cross winds.  We may always have cross winds…

According to AOPA author Dan Namowitz:  Please repeat after me: “There is no such thing as too much crosswind landing practice.” But there is such a thing as too little, as accident reports demonstrate. Crosswinds come in all intensities and from all directions, sometimes fading or strengthening or becoming erratic as altitude decreases. There are crosswinds that make you go around to land somewhere else, but there are no boring crosswinds.

Again, thanks to all who were at the field and made another safe day for training and fun flights.

    Regards,

    Rich
