Mark and concerned members. The BOD has been working extremely hard this winter on securing club insurance.  The BOD should have an announcement at the end of February or early March as to the status of club insurance and what options are available to the club.  Please be patient and know that the BOD is doing their best on this very important issue.

Saturday included Steve, john B, Art, Jim, petr and Don. Pumpkin wings were cleaned and waxed, tailwheel repaired and paint was touched up. The 1-34 had some surface rust removed and painted. Pawnee panels were cleaned. Big Mac 🍔 burgers supplied by Art.

    I hope I got everyone.

John P. Won’t your rocket fuel chili remove the decals and paint? 🤣

I prefer to hold off on removing the decals from pumpkin until we are certain we will be painting the nose.

Thanks John L. for the lesson. Very informative. However, the Flight Chairman has cancelled all flights for the day due to a lack of interest. ☃️🌬️🥶

I’m so sorry to hear about Barry’s passing. I didn’t know he had
been ill. I first met Barry while working at American Airlines. We
met many years ago on a bus going from DFW airport to American
Airlines Flight Academy.  We talked about flying for AA and also
glider flying. Over the years we had a number of conversations
about all sorts of different topics mostly about soaring. I’m sure
he was inspirational in getting me back into soaring in 2014. I
    will miss him.

It appears Barry has two sisters, Tessa and Xenia. The Crommelin
name dates back to the 1100’s.

Steve, I should be able to come out on Sunday and Monday. The new battery will need to be installed in the towplane.

Tow pilots. Please only put as much fuel in the towplane as you think you will need. We are not sure what day we will stop flying, and we want to have the least amount of fuel in the towplane as possible. This way we won’t have much to siphon out prior to installing the new landing gear bungee cords.

I’ll be there Sunday around 12-12:30. I’ll bring the 1-26 parts that were ordered last week. And I can tow if needed on Sunday afternoon.
