Indeed it was! Only 6 flights today and we were led by John Scott flying the 1-26 for 1hr 50min. Then we had a guest pilot from California who flew 3 flights. Greg is a CFI-G and flies for Atlas Air. He tries to find different glider clubs to check out around the country.
Thanks to Mark for towing today.
A full and productive day of flying. 23 flights total with Don, Gary and Mark sharing the tow duties. Thanks again to each of you. John Scott lead the team with 2 hrs 25 mins in the PW-5 and John DeRosa flew his glider for 1.5 hrs. Brendan was checked out in the 1-26, Paul and Animesh soloed in the 2-33 and the highlight of the day was Gavin had his FIRST SOLO in the Krosno.
Congratulations to everyone on this gorgeous day. Very few left this season so get out when you can.

For the week of 18 October. Does anyone have a day that they are interested in? Monday and Tuesday look like nice days and Friday and Saturday as well.

Today was a day of firsts. 11 flights total, thanks to Gary for towing. We had a first flight with a young lady having a scenic ride with John Scott. We had a first glider instructional flight with Emery, a 14 year old future youth member on a FAST program flight. She came to us via a Young Eagles event at LITH airport. AND we had not 1 but 2 FIRST SOLOS today. Congratulations to Animesh and Paul for completing their solos on this beautiful day. Now to study and complete their Private Glider certificates.
Thanks to everyone that came out and offered their support. This is truly a team sport.

Hoping to have an operation Sunday. Looking like flying will not start until 10 at the earliest. It should be a nice Fall day with light winds. Sign up or reply if you’re interested. I also have a guest ride planned.
