    Hello:

If someone does the research for renters insurance, please share.  Regarding renter’s insurance excluding things:  If you own a share of an airplane as a partner, or if you are in an equity-based flying club, ask if there is a non-owned product that will help you to increase your coverage. Although owners are excluded in most of these policies in capital letters, some carriers will cover partners and club members if their ownership percentage is 20 percent or less. Sky soaring is a equity based club since we have a buy in.  That may make renters insurance useless.  We need to carefully see if renters insurance will actually work for our group.

Again, it is a topic that needs to be studied.

    Regards,

    Rich

    Hello:

I am ready for spring and have completed the Wing Runner course.  It looks like spring is not ready for us.  The weather forecast:

Saturday:  Rain and snow before 1pm, then snow likely between 1pm and 4pm, then a chance of rain and snow after 4pm. High near 38. Breezy, with a north northeast wind 15 to 20 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Hopefully we have enough participants for the breakfast so I do not need to bring a box of pop tarts to warm up in front of the blast heaters.

The offer for free “Stop the Bleed” and other training still stands.

Be safe. See all of you Saturday morning.

    Regards,

    Rich

    Hello:

No, the Foscam is not friendly with iPhones either.  All we need is 1 camera that shows an overview so we know at a glance that there is an op and/or if someone is at the glider side of the field.  The camera and the OGN output together may be the answer see if there are ops and what kind of flights are occurring (cross country or just local training flights).  I also would like for one of our seasoned soaring pilots to offer tips to me for soaring a bit further away than I have been used to.

    Regards,

    Rich

Hello:I do not have a computer to donate but I am willing to purchase a Blink camera and controller so that we can augment our Foscam camera system that is almost impossible to view on a cellphone. Having 1 or 2 extra cameras that show “ops or no ops” and adding easy to view security video is beneficial to the club. Any comments/thoughts? Regards,Rich

Merry Christmas!  If your flight did not work out that well I am on standby to provide medical aid since the frozen ground will be as hard as cement…the freezing point of human blood is -2℃ to -3℃. From studies done , blood freezes around 31 degrees F. It is lower that the freezing point of water (32F) because of the dissolved materials in it.  Be safe.

    Hello:

Was a “Saturday wrap-up” sent out? Both the 1-26 and Pumpkin were earning their keep yesterday.  Clear skies, no wind, and some fall scenery to view.  No lift, but that beat the 30 mph winds of the past weekends.

    Happy Halloween to all.

    Regards,

    Rich
