My father told me time and time again…”You can make a million mistakes, just don’t make the same mistake twice.”
Last weekend someone that cut the grass using the Hustler mower filled it with kerosene (blue 5 gallon cans) instead of gasoline (red 5 gallon cans) . Oops!!! Mistake. Fortunately, it did not harm the engine but it did take me several hours of work to fix that mistake. It did cost the club about $75 in fuel and parts to repair the mistake.
I do not want to know who put the wrong fuel in the Hustler but, I do ask that you make an anonymous $75 donation to the club to pay for the costs of the repair. Please make your donation in cash and put it in an unmarked envelope in the box.
Remember All !! only regular gasoline goes in all the mowers. RED CANS!!!

Thanks, Don and everyone that spends time working on the club grounds and equipment. Without you we would not have much of an operation and would soon fade away.

To piggyback off this (potential) wastage of fuel, I ask that we leave the cans of drained fuel in place. Tried burning a small amount earlier today in the fire pit and it behaved in a way that miiiight be safe to still use in the heaters. Waiting one week for a special calibrated flask to ship, then I will weigh it to see what the gas:kerosene ratio is. If there’s too much gas I will bring it to a hazmat disposal site. Let’s hope we can still make use of it.
