Another wash our Sunday. At least we got some flights in on Saturday. Monday is actually looking ok. 2.1 to 3.4 knots of lift from noon till 5. Cu’s predicted for the whole day and winds at the surface 4 to 7 knots out of the south. High temp of 78. Anyone interested. I thought Tuesday would be better but right now Monday looks best. I’ll keep you posted. John Lincoln

Here’s my first update. Monday looks unsoarable due to the low to our southwest. Tuesday isn’t looking bad but I’d like to wait to see how it looks tomorrow. Wednesday doesn’t look bad either but not quite as good as Tuesday at this point. I’ll update again tomorrow. John Lincoln

Update #2. Tuesday looks OK but… Sky Sight predicts lift from 2 to 2.8 knots. Top of lift from 2000 to 3300 agl. Winds are 6 to 8 knots out of the north west. Cu’s to last all day. So it’s weak and not very high. Sky Sight predicts 3K doesn’t happen until 3:30. My Skew-T says thermals to 3000 agl after 3 pm.

The fly in the ointment is the low in SE Missouri. It hasn’t been moving much. It is weakening but it is what is causing all this high cloudiness. If it moves away the day will be better, if not the day may not develop at all. So all I can say is if its clear tomorrow morning it should be an ok day, if not then it probably won’t be soarable. I’d like to fly but I’ll have to wait and see what the morrow brings. I don’t want to ask for a tow pilot if it’s not soarable. John Lincoln

Final update. The fly wins. The low is moving NE and is about over Chicago. It’ll probably clear up this afternoon. When that happens there will be lift of 1 to 2 knots to about 1500 AGL. So I’m not coming out today. I have a commitment tomorrow and I’m out of town until Sunday night after that. For what it’s worth tomorrow and the weekend don’t look to bad right now. Maybe Steve can keep you in the weather loop for a few days. John Lincoln

Speaking of weather. Tomorrow looks flyable although not soarable. Anyone interested? Any tow pilot available?
