I was out at the field today and did some work on the locks.

        > Mailbox – This lock was replaced as all the ice/snow/salt caused it to fail.  There was a rubber flap over the lock to help prevent this.  Will probably happen again so may have to come up with a plan B.

        > Front gate – The lock is missing.  What happened to it?  Lock has been replaced.  Be sure to put the chain around the gate pipes to secure our gate.

        > Front door, office door, radio room door – No changes.

See Don Grillo’s post from last Nov or Dec, about the front gate lock, temp
          removal for a reason.

I found the “old” lock in the office.  It seems odd that this lock was freezing up on the temporary construction gate while it never did on the old gate.   I am going to put a rubber piece on the shackle to deflect water and try to prevent this in the future.   Time will tell.
