We have several glider tie down areas that need some work. The Krosno, 1-26 and maybe others need some dirt added to the wooden ramps that the main wheel sits on. It is getting increasingly difficult to move the gliders onto the ramps because of low spots in front of the ramp.
Several of the tie down stakes have pulled out of the ground several inches and are no longer flush with the ground. This creates a hazard of damaging either the wings or fuselage should they come in contact with the stakes. They will need to be screwed back into the ground.
I would like to get a work crew out this week to accomplish these tasks. Please speak up if you are able to come out and help. Wednesday is looking good, weather wise.

Another field maintenance item is that the runway threshold markers need to be sprayed with Roundup. We have the Roundup but need a sprayer as ours is not working. If someone that owns a sprayer could bring it in and spray the markers that would be greatly appreciated.

I can be there on Wednesday with shovel in hand. We have a flat tamper in the hangar. I assume later than buying top soil we will find dirt “lying around”.I will also bring out a sprayer but two sprayers will be better if someone has another.

We have some volunteers for Wednesday morning around 9am to work on the field. It shouldn’t take very long and maybe if we have time and the wind is right, we can burn the burnpile.

I won’t be able to be at the field on Wednesday, but there is a large pile of dirt next to where the new hangar is being built that you may take some of for your filling requirements. John Lincoln
