Ed Hoffman's Wife Passing

Ed Hoffmann, a long time member of Sky Soaring, gave me a call late last night that his wife Geri of many years had just passed away of Alzheimers disease.    Ed and Geri were both very active in Sky Soaring helping in every way that you can think of.

 

Geri will be missed.  She helped at many picnics and at our Christmas party which often featured a raffle of a week’s stay at their 2nd home in Hawaii.  Ed is one of the very earliest members of Sky Soaring serving on the board as president and COG.  Jeri was survived by her two daughters, one living in Chicago and the other in California.  Sky Soaring owes a large debt of gratitude to both Geri and Ed.

 

Ed is in good spirits.  He and I reminisced about times gone by not the least of which are the travails of handling flight sheets and pay envelopes, a job which I recently took over from Ed.
