    Meanwhile, back at the glider club. It was a hot day but we managed to have 10 flights today. Thanks to Larry K for towing.

    Happy Independence Day everyone! It was a hot! one but there were 14 flights including Philip earning his B badge by staying up for 1.5 hrs and Andy flying his 2nd solo. Frank had 2 good flights and Don towed all day. John P showed up and all he did was mow grass for several hours. Next time John you need to fly. Oh, and did I mention? John L took off at 13:30 and as we were closing the hanger door at 18:00 he was seen circling overhead.

    Well, it did not look like it would amount to much. How things change! Total flights 23. Longest flight 3 HOURS by Austen in Pumpkin! top of the lift was 6,500 MSL.

    Started out with Laurence bringing 2 friends out for guest rides. Gavin Johns did 2 flights, Oliver was checked out in the 1-26 and several others had flights. Thanks to Larry and John for towing.
