Gary, Petr and I completed the annual inspection on Pumpkin (2-33) yesterday. One of the squawks was that the dive brake was very hard to close when it was fully open. I confirmed that squawk when I flew it last week. We found that the dive brake was opening to a full 90 degrees when the proper angle should be 75 degrees on the underwing and 85 degrees on the upperwing. The dive brake and wheel brake adjustments have been made and a test flight by either and AI or Flight Chair will confirm the repair. Until that test flight is made, Pumpkin will remain grounded. Hopefully that will get done this weekend.
