      Hello Sky Soaring members. At the June 15th, 2019 monthly membership meeting, the membership present unanimously passed a resolution including four of the five board members present to have the owner of the Meyers aircraft remove it from the hanger.  Unfortunately, the owner has not removed the aircraft from the hanger nor has the board of directors acted on the resolution.  This does not give me confidence in our current board, therefore I have written a resolution that I will present at tonight’s SSI board meeting in order to take action on this matter.  All members are welcome to attend the board meetings and I encourage you to attend tonight’s board meeting. To be held at Jerseys Pizza and Grill at 2360 Lakewood Blvd, Hoffman Estates, IL 60192. Start time is 6:30pm.

      Resolution to be brought forward at tonight’s meeting;

      Monday August 12, 2019

      Whereas,        on June 15, 2019  at the Sky Soaring monthly membership meeting, a resolution was passed unanimously by the membership present and with four of the five board members present voting with the membership with one abstention to have the owner of the Meyers aircraft remove the aircraft from the hanger within 45 days from the date of that meeting (August 1, 2019).

      Whereas,        the resolution passed also stipulates that if the owner has not removed the aircraft from the hanger or made a written agreement with the Sky Soaring Board to park the aircraft outside the hanger, an $18.00 per day fine on top of the current hanger rent charged will be imposed.

      Whereas,        the board of directors has not made any written agreement with the owner to date.

      Be it resolved,            the fine of $18.00 per day on top of the monthly rent will be imposed with the start date of August 2, 2019.

      Be it further resolved,                       in the event the owner does not pay the fine on a monthly basis, after 60 days, the Sky Soaring board will legally impose a lien on the Meyer aircraft.

      Be it further resolved,                       the lien will remain in effect until all back fines have been paid by the owner of the Meyers aircraft.

      ——————————————————————————————————————-

      Respectfully,

      Don Grillo
      Maintenance Committee Chairman

      Don, due to a medical procedure I had today I can’t make the board meeting tonight. That said I fully support your resolution. And if I hadn’t had the procedure I would be at the meeting. Please vote me as fully and completely supporting your resolution.
