In years past Sky Soaring hosted a “First Flight of the Year” event on January 1st. If possible we took to the (decidedly cold) air!
Following flying we had a Chili-fest “contest” to see who had the best concoction. Crock-pots full of spicy-ness abounded. Others brought whatever was good to eat or drink, or just showed up for some mid-winter fun.
So on January 1st, 2022 we will resurrect this annual event. Bring what you would like to share. Usually, food was served around 3PM but with no flying going on let’s eat around 1PM.
