The Friday through Monday flying looks fairly good on Sky Sight. Temps in the upper 80’s to low 90’s. At this time Monday looks especially good. I can’t make it out on Sat or Mon but would like to fly on Friday if we can get a tow pilot and wing runner. Cloud bases 3500 to 4500 AGL winds light and variable thermals 1.3 to 3.7 knots. Saturday is a bit stronger but winds around 8 knots out of the west. Sunday like Saturday only blue. Monday much stronger lift to 5 knots but wind out of the NW at 15 knots.Top of lift at 6500 AGL. High temps and dew points are lower on Monday. Hope to see you out on Friday. John Lincoln

FromĀ  http://www.usairnet.com/KRFD, it’s indicating Thurs 6-10 may be better than Fri.

Today, Friday, is looking like a good soaring day although it will be very hot. (hint hint…hydration) The forecast high is calling for 93F, 34C. Cloudbase this afternoon according to the rucsoundings should be around 7000ft. Light winds coming down the lake will mix with warm air inland creating some possibility of convergence.

1-26 update. The new tire and tube are supposed to be delivered today to my house. I’m hoping to run home to pick it up after delivery and return to Sky Soaring and replace the tire and tube this afternoon to have it ready to fly tomorrow. At least that’s the plan…

      Regards,
      Don
