Would anyone be available to tow today starting around noon? I have a few lessons to give, happy to give instruction to anyone else who wants to come out.
Looks like the forecast is now calling for 20 knot crosswinds out of the South. At 2,000 feet that number is 40 knots, also out of the South. I don’t think our poor old 2-33 did anything to deserve that kind of abuse so I’ll retract my plans to fly today 🙁
Now I don’t need a tow pilot anymore… playing with my new Pipistrel Sinus Flex in Zephyrhills Florida. Motorglider with tremendous climb rate. Took a while to get used to the adverse yaw on landing with the 50 ft wingspan. Great soaring at 5500 ft with prop feathered… almost 30:1 L/D. Needless to say the weather is also a bit nicer.
Tampa Bay Soaring guys were all out.. but no flying due to the rather gusty winds.
