Tow Plane – Currently in annual
      ——–

Don Grillo retrieved the Pawnee from Popular Grove airport on Monday following the completion of its engine rebuild (cost to the club $40K). Before towing can begin the ship needs to be flown for 10 hours to properly break-in our essentially brand new engine – 1 hour has been completed. Due to the projected weather this week the break in period may not be completed by this Saturday (whose WX looks rainy). We will keep you posted.

GlidersAll gliders are currently in annual

      ——–Krosno – Assembled

      1-26 – Assembled

2-33 (Stars and Stripes) – Ready for assembly
PW-5 – Ready for assembly (pending space availability in the hangar)

      1-34 – Ongoing refurbishing

2-33 (Pumpkin) – Wings are on the trailer awaiting painting

I believe Paragear has shut down so they took it to Rochelle at a sky dive shop.

News to me.  I drive by there a couple of times a week and it looks like it is still operating.  Their website is still up and current, with recent posts to the FB account.  I’ll check with them tomorrow to make sure.

      Best Regards,

      John F. Phelan

Called ParaGear this morning.  They do not have a rigger on-staff, at the moment.  They are looking to hire a new one, but for now, they cannot repack chutes.

      Best Regards,

We are looking for volunteers to assemble Stars & Stripes. Either Friday or Sunday. If there are 6-8 people available tomorrow Friday that would be my preference. Saturday is not going to happen. The weather does not look good. Sunday if the assembly is finished we should be able to get in a flight or two.

      Hello:

I can help Sunday.  Friday is bad for me since I will be fighting crime.

      Regards,

      Rich
