What a great day it turned out to be. Even though the forecast looked fairly weak Jimbob Slocum had up to 8 knots on his averager. The clouds were fairly honest. It didn’t go real high up to 6300 msl but usually lower, 5600 to 5900 msl. Mark Mallamo was out giving instruction to the Palmers. Jimbob was first up and had no trouble sticking. Our message forum made it fairly easy to get the operation going. I had a great tow from Nick. He took Jim and myself to fairly good thermals and when I asked him to speed up a bit he was right on it. Thank You Nick. I flew for a bit over 3 hours and covered 156 miles. If I remember correctly there were 8 or 9 flights. All y’all out there need to watch the weather, make a few calls and get up in the air. Summer is passing and you don’t want to be looking back on it wishing you had flown more. NOW is the time. John Lincoln
