Be sure to attend the December 16th ChicagoLand Glider Council
meeting.  The topic will be Parowan Soaring, Safety and Natural
Beauty.  This should be good!

The meeting starts at 7:30PM in the downstairs conference room in
the Schaumburg Airport main building.  Several of us meet
beforehand at 6PM at Pilot Pete’s restaurant for the chow line
(and afterwards too!).

At the meeting, unfortunately, I did not learn anything about
high-plateau, long flight endurance methods, precautions, dealing with
cold, pee, etc. Possibly that is because a lot of meeting attendees are
already well-established XC fliers, know or done all that before.
I did learn a lot about west Utah geographics, & reasons for why it’s a
good soaring location. I did want to ask about MOA’s, a lot to be concerned
about?

Fully agree….wanted to hear more about flying XC.

Entertaining stories about geological science and those illegal weeds in Colorado. Ha! Ha! 🙂
In all seriousness however; Twas great to fellowship with brothers in flight.
