Scenic Ride Gift Certificates Procedure

Hello Sky Soaring members. We are selling Scenic Ride gift certificates on our website. When a person with a gift certificate arrives at the field, they must have a paper copy of the certificate with them. Rides are not to be offered without it. (It clearly states this when they purchased it as well as on the back side of the cert.) There is a folder in the box labeled “Gift Certificates”, place the certificate in the folder so it can be processed by the treasurer.

Place the person on the flight schedule and assign a commercial rated pilot to give the ride. Explain that they will have to wait until a glider and pilot is available. (It also states this when they purchased). Scenic Rides are usually 3000 foot tows or about a 25 minute ride or 2 3 winch launches if up and down.

If operating from the east end of the field, DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO DRIVE THEIR VEHICLE ON THE FIELD! Escort them on a golf cart or member vehicle by offering a ride. Or, have them wait on the patio. Only the person taking the ride and one other should be brought to the East end of the field, not the entire family. Have them wait and watch from the patio at the hanger.

The cost of one scenic ride is $130.

Gift Certificate must be used within 24 months from time of purchase.
NO REFUNDS, NO RETURNS.

Scenic rides are provided on any day we have operations and a pilot is available, generally between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.  We are a club and not a commercial operation.  Rides are available from mid April through October, weather permitting.
We do not book reservations.
First come First Serve basis.  (You may have to wait until a pilot and glider are available. We offer a patio deck with table and chairs where you may watch. You may bring your own picnic lunch).

RESTRICTIONS:

• You must weigh less than 220 lbs.
• You must be at least 4 feet tall.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult at the field.
• You must bring a printed copy of your Gift Certificate.  Rides will not be given without it.
