Farm Field

Folks, I have spoken with Ron Vanacker, our Farmer. He has fertilized the east field twice and will be planting more grass today or Tuesday. He is fine with the amount of the field we are using. His efforts, he plans, will result in his being able to mow two of three times each year. His equipment fits through our gate.

I also asked about our “extra” grass seeding and his recommendation is to wait for a good rain and also to wait for at least two weeks after we have some sustained 70 degree weather, which is what the grass seed needs to fully germinate. We’re on the right path, we just need a bit more help from mother nature.
