      Hello Sky Soaring tow pilots

The engine has been rebuilt and is ready for pickup at poplar grove. I will do that once we have made room in the hangar. Attached as a pdf file is the recommended break in procedure.

Please note that we do not have a cylinder head temperature gauge so we will have to be very mindful of our power settings, tow speed and let down procedures. We will discuss this more at the safety meeting.

Is the club putting any break in hours on the engine before releasing it to towing duties?   If so and you need help, let me know.    See you all at the field.

John, the engine will require 2 hours of break in. I will do that when I pick it up at poplar grove later in the month. In the mean time if you would like to come out to the field on Saturdays, we have work that needs to be done.
