I only heard of the name Dr. Clare Close while flying out of the CGC field. It was some time in the 90s when a notice was posted on a wall in the club house informing all members not to talk to or welcome Dr. Close and his group with all the names listed. Dr. Close however made a flight with Ron Ridenour but afterwards was told that he would not be accepted as a new member because he failed the check ride badly and would not fit into the club.
Will there be a Chili fest Jan. 1st.? We don’t hear anything! Happy New Year to All!
